Our Team

All of our coaches have undergone science-based training. In addition, we have all practiced a variety of sports ourselves and are therefore very familiar with the lifestyle of athletes, which helps us to ideally adapt our recommendations to the everyday challenges of athletes.

“Nutrition coaching
is much more
than just creating
macro splits”

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide athletes with the best possible support in achieving their goals with our science-based coaching approach and our practical experience as athletes and coaches.

Through lectures, workshops, and online learning materials, we aim to equip athletes and coaches with knowledge that reflects the latest scientific standards

Philosophy

At athlEATcoach, we are committed to science-based nutrition. Our goal is to translate reliable scientific findings into clear, accessible information for athletes and anyone interested in sports nutrition—while debunking common myths along the way.
We intentionally avoid partnerships with companies that sell products. This ensures our analyses and recommendations remain fully independent, objective, and free from commercial influence. Only by maintaining this neutrality can we uphold the high quality standards we set for ourselves

Jörn Utermann

Founder of athlEATcoach

After completing his bachelor’s degree in nutritional science, he specialized in the nutritional needs of athletes with the IOC Diploma and a master’s degree in sports nutrition.

Jörn has competed in handball, tennis, wrestling, and CrossFit, and also brings several years of experience in MMA and bouldering. Due to past injuries, he now approaches training with more caution—but his passion for sports hasn’t slowed down. Today, he dives deep into scientific journals to stay on top of the latest research, ensuring his athletes and clients receive the most up-to-date, evidence-based guidance.

Lucas Ille

Our Expert for Team Athletes

Ever since he was a little boy in the sports hall, the fascination of handball has never let him go. He has played the sport at a high level for more than 20 years. Skiing has also been a steady part of his athletic repertoire for many years, and in recent years he has added weight training to his routine as well.

During his bachelor’s studies in sports science and therapy, Lucas quickly realized that the complex relationships within human nutrition fascinated him just as much as the interplay between training and human physiology. He was able to explore these interests in even greater depth during his master’s degree. Exercise Science and Sports Nutrition.

In nutrition coaching, he primarily supports ball players and people who want to effectively lose weight or build muscle mass. However, he has also gained experience in supporting triathletes and powerlifters – so a true all-rounder.
